Office Manager / Controller

Griffith Bros Service Centre Ltd. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager / Controller to oversee the financial and administrative operations of our business. This role plays an important part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring government remittances are completed properly, and supporting the daily office operations of our service centre.

Responsibilities

  • Manage accounting and bookkeeping functions
  • Process accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Prepare and track government remittances (HST, payroll deductions, WSIB, etc.)
  • Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
  • Assist with payroll processing and reporting
  • Monitor cash flow and assist with financial reporting
  • Maintain organized financial and administrative filing systems
  • Communicate with suppliers, customers, and service providers regarding accounts
  • Support general office administration and coordination

Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • Knowledge of government remittances and compliance requirements
  • Experience managing accounts receivable and payable
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities
  • Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office is an asset
  • Experience working in a small business environment is an asset
